Mr. Charles Barnett addressed the council with an update on the two state grants <br /> awarded to the Airport. One grant is to build 6 T-hangers and the other is additional <br /> ramps for airplanes. The City budgeted $50,000 to give to the airport for their match of <br /> the grants. Mr. Barnett said the airport will apply in late 2010 or early 2011 for a federal <br /> grant to fence the west and south ends of the airport. <br /> C) MS. LOUANNE GEORGE REGARDING TREE TRIMMING <br /> Ms. LouAnne George of 1411 Davis Lane addressed the council regarding trees that <br /> were trimmed or cut down by the City in front of her property. Ms. George showed the <br /> council pictures and asked the city to replace 50 of the trees. After a discussion, the <br /> council said they would like to drive by the property to see for themselves before any <br /> decisions are made. <br /> D) FIRE CHIEF BRENT GLEGHORN WITH INFORMATION ON THE RESCUE TRUCK AND <br /> FORESTRY GRANT UPDATE <br /> Fire Chief Brent Gleghorn gave the council a quarterly activities report for the fire <br /> department. The Chief said the city was approved for a Forestry grant which includes <br /> equipment for helping with the cleanup of storms or wild fires. The equipment includes <br /> back-pack water pumps, leaf blowers, chain saws, helmets and rakes. <br /> Chief Gleghorn gave the council the approximate figures for the new rescue truck and <br /> accessories of$89,578.00. He said two other fire districts were possibly interested in <br /> purchasing our current rescue truck. The Chief asked to advertise in the paper for bids <br /> to sell the truck and if the bids were not what he was hoping to get then he would <br /> advertise on GovDeals. He said they could temporally do without the rescue truck <br />
