The Mayor also congratulated Mr. Alan Cockrell for being appointed interim <br /> Independence County Sheriff after the resignation of the current Sheriff Keith Bowers. <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> None <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Shetron said he has had complaints about loud music coming from <br /> houses. The City's noise ordinance only refers to loud music from vehicles. Mr. Shetron said he <br /> would like the City to investigate and possibly amend our current ordinance to include houses. <br /> Councilmember Bryant said he would like to find the money to pave the parking lot at <br /> the Polk Bayou Park. The grade is steep and the gravel keeps washing away making the parking <br /> lot very rough. He also said that street lights are being repaired because of the work the fire <br /> department has done in driving the city street and reporting light that are out. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Matthews moved that the meeting be <br /> adjourned.
