D) ENGINEER'S REPORT <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson addressed the council with the city engineer's report. Mr. Johnson said <br /> the flood levee inspection was going to cost an additional $2,500 to do some additional testing. The <br /> roofing crew for the Municipal Building has started and weather permitting should be finished by the <br /> end of the week. He gave an update on construction projects and said the tunnel project was <br /> underway and was about 28 feet deep. He said they will go 40 feet deep then turn and go about 1700 <br /> feet. Mr. Johnson said he would have pictures for the council soon. He also told the council that it <br /> looked like the Wastewater Treatment Plant would not make permit for the month of March. <br /> E) EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember O'Neal moved to go into executive session and Councilmember Bryant seconded. All <br /> voted for. <br /> Upon returning from executive session, Councilmember Matthews moved to appoint Mr. Cord <br /> Davidson to the Public Facilities Board. Councilmember Shetron seconded and all voted for. Mr. <br /> Davidson's term will expire 11/10/2014. <br /> F) REVIEW FINANCIALS <br /> The council was given a copy of the February, 2010 financials for review. After a discussion, the council <br /> set a budget meeting after the next council meeting on April 13. <br /> MAYOR COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh reminded everyone that they should have already received their 2010 census in the <br /> mail. He urged everyone to complete their census and mail it back in a timely manner. The Mayor said the <br /> grant that we applied for to help in the cost to move the dispatch department was not approved, but he did <br /> say there were enough funds in the CMRS fund and he would like the council's approval to start the work. The <br /> council agreed to start the construction to relocate the Dispatch Department. <br /> The Mayor announced that there will be a vacancy on the Parks Commission. He encouraged anyone <br /> interested in serving on the Parks Commission should contact City Hall. The vacancy is a City position. <br />
