MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> AUGUST 25, 2009 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on August 25, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Councilmember Krug <br /> gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following councilmembers answered present: Tommy <br /> Bryant, Margarett Henley, Davy Insell, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, Matt McDonald, Richard <br /> O'Neal, and David Shetron. Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting and <br /> Councilmember Insell seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember <br /> Shetron seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY TAXICAB FRANCHISE <br /> REGARDING LIABILITY INSURANCE <br /> Councilmember Shetron introduced an ordinance amending the Batesville Taxicab <br /> Franchise regarding liability insurance coverage. Councilmember Matthews moved to read <br /> the ordinance by title only. Councilmember O'Neal seconded and the roll call count was 8 for <br /> and 0 against. City Attorney Stalker read the ordinance by title only. After a discussion, <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to suspend the rules and waive the second and third readings. <br /> Councilmember Shetron seconded and the roll call count was 8 for and 0 against. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to adopt the ordinance and Councilmember O'Neal <br />
