Mayor Elumbaugh recognized the Batesville High School Girls Track and Field team <br /> and Coach Stu Smith for finishing first in the State Track and Field meet. This is the fifth <br /> year in a row that BHS girls have finished first in the State. <br /> C) PRESENTATION FROM MR. GARY UNDERWOOD WITH THE U.S. CENSUS <br /> BUREAU <br /> Mr. Gary Underwood with the U.S. Census Bureau addressed the council with a <br /> short video and presentation regarding the upcoming 2010 census. <br /> D) CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO ADJUST WATER RATES <br /> Councilmember McDonald introduced an ordinance that would repeal Ordinance <br /> No. 2000-12-01 fixing rates for water to be furnished by the waterworks system of the City <br /> of Batesville and establishing new rates. Councilmember Matthews moved to read the <br /> ordinance by title only. Councilmember Insell seconded and the roll call count was 8 for <br /> and 0 against. The City Clerk read the ordinance by title only. The ordinance will be <br /> placed on the next meeting's agenda for the second reading. <br /> E) CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO ADJUST SEWER RATES <br /> Councilmember Shetron introduced an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2001- <br /> 02-01 with respect to the establishment of rates for sewer services and setting new sewer <br /> rates. Councilmember Matthews moved to read the ordinance by title only. <br /> Councilmember Insell seconded and the roll call count was 8 for and 0 against. The City <br /> Clerk read the ordinance by title only. The ordinance will be placed on the next meeting's <br /> agenda for the second reading. <br /> F) ENGINEERS REPORT <br /> Mr. Damon Johnson, City Engineer, addressed the council with his engineer's <br /> report. Mr. Johnson brought the council up-to-date on several projects throughout the City. <br />
