Mayor Elumbaugh said the ordinance will be placed on the next council agenda <br /> for the second reading. <br /> C) CONSIDER A CEMETERY RESOLUTION <br /> The council considered a cemetery resolution for Myra Coop Kendall, Resolution <br /> #2009-132-1 for$1,600.00. Councilmember Matthews moved to adopt the resolution <br /> and Councilmember McDonald seconded. All voted for. <br /> D) ENGINEER'S REPORT <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson addressed the council with his council report. Mr. <br /> Johnson said the Wastewater plant would not make permit this month because of the <br /> excessive rain. He also reported on activities throughout the City. <br /> E) EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to go into executive session. Councilmember <br /> Shetron seconded and all voted for. Upon returning from executive session, <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to re-appoint Ms. Alvada Smart to the Housing <br /> Authority. Councilmember Henley seconded and all voted for. Ms. Smart's term will <br /> expire May 27, 2014. <br /> F) REVIEW PAID BILLS REPORT <br /> The council reviewed the April 2009 Paid Bills report. <br /> MAYOR COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh said the 2010 census will be upon us before we know it and <br /> he wants to appoint a committee made up of local citizens to help educate the public on <br /> the importance of a correct census count. The Mayor said anyone who is interested in <br /> serving on the committee needs to contact City Hall. <br />
