MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> September 16, 2008 <br /> The Batesville City Council met for a special meeting on September 16, 2008, at <br /> 5:15 PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. <br /> Upon roll call the following Councilmembers answered present: R.L. Carpenter, Davy <br /> Insell, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, Matt McDonald, Trula Pectol and David Shetron. <br /> Deputy City Clerk Brenda Riley was also present. Councilmember Terrell and City <br /> Attorney Scott Stalker were absent. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Shetron seconded and all voted for. <br /> CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO APPLY FOR A GRANT ON BEHALF OF WHITE <br /> RIVER AREA AGENCY ON AGING <br /> Councilmember Shetron introduced a resolution to authorize the Mayor to apply <br /> for a grant from the GIF Funded Community Enhancement for the mutual benefit of both <br /> the City of Batesville and White River Area on Aging to repair damage caused by <br /> mudslides on property owned by White River Area on Aging and utility easement owned <br /> by the City of Batesville. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to adopt the resolution and Councilmember <br /> Shetron seconded. All voted for. The resolution was given #2008-9-2-R. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Shetron moved that the meeting be <br /> adjourned.
