MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> DECEMBER 11, 2007 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on December 11, at <br /> 5:30 PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the <br /> meeting. Councilmember Matthews gave the invocation. Upon roll call the <br /> following councilmembers answered present: R.L. Carpenter, Fred Krug, Doug <br /> Matthews, Matt McDonald, Trula Pectol, David Shetron, Stephen Smart and <br /> Paula Terrell. The City Clerk was also present. The City Attorney Scott Stalker <br /> was absent. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Smart seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Shetron seconded and all voted for. <br /> COMMENTS FROM CITIZENS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) CONSIDER STREET CLOSING FOR FLOWERS BAKERY <br /> Code Enforcement Chad McClure addressed the council regarding a <br /> street closing for Flowers Bakery. The request it to close a portion of 14th Street <br /> between Broad and Bates Streets to use for parking for their employees. The <br /> council considered a resolution to set a public hearing on the request. <br /> Councilmember Shetron introduced the resolution. The City Clerk read the <br />
