NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE STREET <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh opened the meeting for a public hearing to consider the <br /> closing of an unused portion of a dedicated street located off Highway 167 and White <br /> Drive. No one came forward and the hearing was closed. <br /> B) CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE AN UNUSED PORTION OF A <br /> DEDICATED STREET OFF HIGHWAY 167 AND WHITE DRIVE <br /> Councilmember Terrell introduced an ordinance to close an unused portion of a <br /> dedicated street which is lying east of the intersection of U.S. Highway 167 and White <br /> Drive. Councilmember Terrell moved to read the ordinance by title only. <br /> Councilmember Krug seconded and the roll call count was 7 for and 0 against. City <br /> Attorney Stalker read the ordinance by title only. Councilmember Krug moved to <br /> suspend the rules and waive the second and third readings. Councilmember Matthews <br /> seconded and the roll call count was 7 for and 0 against. Councilmember Matthews <br /> moved to adopt the ordinance and Councilmember Shetron seconded. The roll call <br /> count was 7 for and 0 against. The ordinance was given #2007-1-4. <br /> C) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO INCREASE GARBAGE RAGES <br /> Councilmember Shetron introduced a resolution that would increase garbage <br /> fees $2.00 across the board. Councilmember Matthews moved to read the resolution <br /> by title only. Councilmember Shetron seconded and the roll call count was 4 for (Krug, <br /> Matthews, McDonald and Shetron) and 3 against (Smart, Terrell and Carpenter). The <br /> motion failed. City Attorney Stalker read the resolution in full. Councilmember Smart <br />
