MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> OCTOBER 24, 2006 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on October 24, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. Councilmember Mynatt <br /> gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following Councilmembers answered present: R.L. <br /> Carpenter, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, Dana Mynatt, Jerry Pectol, David Shetron, Stephen <br /> Smart and Paula Terrell. Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> COMMENTS FROM CITIZENS <br /> Mayor Biard opened the floor for citizens' comments. There being none, the floor was <br /> closed. <br /> ROUTINE BUSINESS <br /> "APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting and <br /> Councilmember Pectol seconded. All voted for. <br /> "REPORTS OF SPECIAL SELECTION COMMITTEES <br /> Councilmember Terrell reported that a Special Select Committee Task Force to <br /> prepare for the upcoming visit of the Mayor and Ministers from Putian City, China, Batesville's <br /> Sister City, met recently. Ms. Terrell said the City expects to host the Putian dignitaries <br /> sometime in April or May, 2007. The task force is looking for ways to raise money for the <br /> visit. <br /> AMEND THE AGENDA <br /> Councilmember Pectol moved to amend the agenda to remove the Unfinished <br /> Business and the comments section of the agenda. Councilmember Matthews seconded and <br /> all voted for. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br />
