MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> NOVEMBER 14, 2006 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on November 14, at <br /> 5:30 PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Matthews gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following <br /> councilmembers answered present: R.L. Carpenter, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, <br /> Dana Mynatt, Jerry Pectol, David Shetron, Stephen Smart and Paula Terrell and <br /> the City Clerk. The City Attorney was absent. <br /> COMMENTS FROM CITIZENS <br /> Mayor Biard opened the floor for citizen's comments. There being none, <br /> the floor was closed. <br /> ROUTINE BUSINESS <br /> Councilmember Smart moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Shetron seconded. All voted for. <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> ***REPORT BY ATTORNEY BILL WALMSLEY ON SOUTHSIDE ISSUE <br /> Attorney Bill Walmsley addressed the council regarding the Southside <br /> Incorporation issue. Mr. Walmsley said "We lost the battle but won the war". Mr. <br /> Walmsley was talking about the recent election that voted down the Southside <br /> Incorporation initiative. Mr. Walmsley said that since the Incorporation did not <br /> pass, he did not recommend the City to appeal the Judges decision regarding the <br /> natural barrier. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> ***CEMETERY RESOLUTION <br />
