DISCUSSION WITH CONSULTANT ROB MIDDLETON CONCERNING NEW CITY <br /> MAP <br /> Mr. Rob Middleton addressed the council and showed them the work to date that <br /> he has done on the new city map. Mr. Middleton told the council what he thought <br /> needed to be done to the map to make it functional for the City. When complete the <br /> map will be computerized and will be published on the City's web site. Councilmember <br /> Carpenter moved that the City appropriate monies up to $7,500. for the new map. If the <br /> $7,500 is reached, the council will then re-address the issue. Councilmember Matthews <br /> seconded and all voted for. <br /> DISCUSSION OF SIGN ORDINANCE PROPOSED BY ATTORNEY STEVE GILES <br /> The council was given a copy of the sign ordinance with the recommended <br /> changed made by Attorney Steve Giles. The council will consider the ordinance at the <br /> next meeting. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember Smart moved to go into executive session. Councilmember <br /> Carpenter seconded and all voted for. <br /> Upon returning from executive session, Councilmember Mynatt moved to appoint <br /> Mr. David Dame to the Utility Commission. Councilmember Carpenter seconded and <br /> the roll call count was 6 for and 1 (Krug) against. Mr. Dame will complete the unexpired <br /> term of Glen Whitaker. The term will end 5-10-08. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The council was given a copy of the September, 2005 financial statement. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Krug said he did not feel the City was spending the taxpayer's <br /> monies wisely by continuing to retain Mr. Stephen Giles for legal work when the City <br />
