PROPOSED RESOLUTION TO ADOPT NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT <br /> SYSTEM <br /> Mayor Biard read a resolution that would adopt the National Incident <br /> Management System established by the United States Department of Homeland <br /> Security for all emergency response by all departments and agencies of the City <br /> of Batesville. Fire Chief James Boothby explained to the council that all <br /> emergency employees and department heads with the City will need to take a <br /> course and pass a test in order for the City to receive grant monies from FEMA. <br /> The course can be taken online. Councilmember Cooke moved to adopt the <br /> resolution and Councilmember Matthews seconded. All voted for. The <br /> resolution was given #2005-7-1-R. <br /> PROPOSED SIGN ORDINANCE <br /> The council discussed the proposed sign ordinance and made several <br /> change recommendations to the ordinance. The Clerk said she would make the <br /> proposed changes and have a new copy of the ordinance ready for the next <br /> meeting. <br /> CONSIDER FORM FOR COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS <br /> Councilmember Mynatt gave the council a copy of a proposed application <br /> form for persons to complete who would like to be appointed to commission and <br /> boards. Ms. Mynatt said the application would allow citizens to make <br /> applications to serve on commissions and boards and also provide information to <br /> the Mayor and council on the individual being considered.
