MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> DECEMBER 13, 2005 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on December 13, at 5:30 PM <br /> at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. Councilmember <br /> Carpenter gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following councilmembers answered <br /> present: R.L. Carpenter, John Cooke, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, Dana Mynatt, <br /> Stephen Smart and Paula Terrell. Councilmember Jerry Pectol was absent. Also <br /> present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Carpenter moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Matthews seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Smart moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember <br /> Terrell seconded and all voted for. <br /> UTILITIES DEPARTMENT REQUEST FOR WATER AND SEWER OUTSIDE CITY <br /> LIMITS <br /> Mr. Larry Tharnish and Mr. Jerry Jeffery with the Batesville Water Utility <br /> approached the council with two requests for water and sewer outside the city limits. <br /> The first request was for sewer for Harold Crider in Spring Valley. Mr. Crider gave the <br /> Utilities an easement on his property during the construction of the Industrial Park sewer <br /> line in exchange for a sewer connection. Councilmember Terrell moved to grant the <br /> sewer connection and Councilmember Cooke seconded. All voted for. <br /> The second request was from Jesse C. Beach on Mitchell Road. Mr. Beach was <br /> requesting a water meter on an existing water line. Councilmember Carpenter moved <br /> to approve the request and Councilmember Cooke seconded. All voted for. <br /> THIRD READING FOR THE PROPOSED SIGN ORDINANCE <br />
