MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> JUNE 26, 2005 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on June 26, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. Councilmember <br /> Carpenter gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following councilmembers answered <br /> present: Carpenter, Cooke, Krug, Matthews, Mynatt, Pectol and Terrell. The City Clerk <br /> was also present. The City Attorney was absent. <br /> Councilmember Carpenter moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Pectol seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Pectol moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember <br /> Terrell seconded and all voted for. <br /> PRESENTATION TO RETIRING EMPLOYEE <br /> Mayor Biard presented Ms. Faye England, Dispatch Supervisor, with a plaque for <br /> her 27 years of service to the City of Batesville. Ms. England is retiring June 30, 2005. <br /> PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO ADOPT RULES OF PROCEDURE <br /> Councilmember Carpenter introduced an ordinance that would adopt rules of <br /> procedures for the transaction of business of the City Council. Mayor Biard read the <br /> ordinance in full and Councilmember Carpenter moved to suspend the rules for the <br /> second and third readings. Councilmember Krug seconded and the roll call count was 7 <br /> for and 0 against. Councilmember Terrell moved to adopt the ordinance and <br /> Councilmember Pectol seconded. The roll call count was 7 for and 0 against. The <br /> ordinance was given 42005-6-3. Councilmember Carpenter moved to adopt the <br /> emergency clause and Councilmember Matthews seconded. The roll call count was 6 for <br /> and 1 (Mynatt) against. <br />
