MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 29, 2004 <br /> The Batesville City Council met for a special meeting on November 29, at 5:30 <br /> PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Cargill gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following <br /> Councilmembers answered present: Jim Cargill, R.L. Carpenter, Robert Ford, Gerald <br /> Gaither, Jim Mitchum, Jerry Pectol, and Paula Terrell. City Clerk Denise Johnston was <br /> also present. Councilmember Watkins and City Attorney Scott Stalker were absent. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda as amended. <br /> Councilmember Terrell seconded and all voted for. <br /> CONSIDER 2005 BUDGET <br /> The council considered the proposed 2005 budget. Councilmember Ford moved <br /> to increase the Chamber of Commerce to $9,000.00 (plus $600.00 for the Batesville <br /> Pageant Association) and Councilmember Cargill seconded. All voted for. After a <br /> lengthy discussion, the council decided to wait until the December 14th meeting to adopt. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember Mitchum moved to go into executive session. Councilmember <br /> Ford seconded and all voted for. <br /> Upon returning from executive session, no action was taken. <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Gaither moved that the meeting <br /> be adjourned.
