A piece of property located on South Elsie Street owned by the deceased <br /> Jessie Smith in is need of condemnations. Mr. McClure said that Attorney Butch Ketz is <br /> handling the estate but believes there are no living family members. Councilmember Watkins <br /> moved to start condemnation proceedings. Councilmember Cargill seconded and all voted <br /> for. 120 Cherry Street owned by Mr. Jerry Post is also in need of condemnation. <br /> Councilmember Cargill moved to begin condemnation proceedings and Councilmember <br /> Carpenter seconded. All voted for. The council discussed property at 1284 Grace Street. <br /> They instructed Mr. McClure to write a letter to the owner to clean up the property. An <br /> abandoned truck owned by Mr. Dave Hughes on Davis Lane was discussed. Mr. McClure <br /> said he was waiting on a ruling from the City Attorney whether the City could have the vehicle <br /> towed. The truck is on the street and city right-of-way. Chief Deputy Steve Jeffery said he <br /> thought the vehicle could be towed but the City Attorney did not give his approval. <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Watkins moved that the meeting be <br /> adjourned.
