MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> AUGUST 12, 2003 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on August 12, at 5:30 PM at <br /> the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. Councilmember <br /> Watkins gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following Councilmembers answered <br /> present: Jim Cargill, R.L. Carpenter, Robert Ford, Gerald Gaither, Jim Mitchum, Jerry <br /> Pectol, Paula Terrell and Jim Watkins. Also present were the City Clerk Denise Johnston <br /> and the City Attorney Scott Stalker. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the minutes from the last meeting. <br /> Councilmember Cargill seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda as amended. <br /> Councilmember Gaither seconded and all voted for. <br /> SHERIFF'S REPORT <br /> Sheriff Keith Bowers gave the council the monthly Sheriff's report. <br /> CONSIDER A TAX BACK RESOLUTION <br /> Councilmember Watkins introduced a resolution that would endorse Pioneer <br /> Custom Molding, Inc. to participate in the Tax Back Program (as authorized by Section <br /> 15-4-2706(4) of the Consolidated Incentive Act of 2003). Mayor Biard read the <br /> resolution and Councilmember Watkins moved to adopt and Councilmember Carpenter <br /> seconded. All voted for and the resolution was given 42003-8-1-R. <br /> COX COMMUNICATIONS REPORT <br /> Mayor Biard said that the City Attorney Scott Stalker has not been able to talk to <br /> the Cox Communications attorney and would try to have a report at the next meeting. <br />
