MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> JUNE 10, 2003 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on June 10, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. Councilmember <br /> Watkins gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following Councilmembers answered <br /> present: Jim Cargill, Robert Ford, Gerald Gaither, Jim Mitchum, Jerry Pectol, Paula <br /> Terrell and Jim Watkins. Councilmember Carpenter was absent. Also present were the <br /> City Clerk Denise Johnston and the City Attorney Scott Stalker. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the minutes from the last meeting. <br /> Councilmember Gaither seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda as amended. <br /> Councilmember Cargill seconded and all voted for. <br /> SHERIFF'S REPORT <br /> Chief Deputy Steve Jeffery gave the council the monthly activity sheet for the <br /> Sheriff's Department. They discussed briefly the parking problems at Riverside Park. <br /> Chief Jeffery said they would patrol more and start writing citations for parking <br /> violations. <br /> DRAFT ON REFINING NOISE ORDINANCE AS REQUESTED <br /> The council was given a new draft of a noise ordinance. The council said they <br /> would take the ordinance home to review. The Mayor said he would have it on the next <br /> meeting's agenda for the first reading. <br /> MAYOR'S ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> The Mayor told the council that the fire department needed more money to <br /> purchase sign materials for the newly adopted house numbering ordinance. <br />
