w <br /> CITY OF BATESVILLE <br /> RESOLUTION NUMBER `3L]- '7- Z <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE MAIN STREET PROGRAM AND DESIGNATING <br /> A CITY REPRESENTATIVE TO COORDINATE ALL PROGRAM ACTIVITIES. <br /> WHEREAS, the Arkansas Main street program has been created to assist small cities <br /> to develop a public-private effort to revitalize their downtown area, and five <br /> Arkansas cities will be selected to participate in the project in 1984. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, <br /> ARKANSAS. <br /> SECTION 1. That the City of Batesville apply for selection to participate in the <br /> 1984 Arkansas Main Street program with the specific goal of economic revitalization <br /> of the central business district within the context of the preservation and <br /> rehabilitation of its historic buildings. <br /> SECTION 2. That the City of Batesville provide financial support for a Main Street <br /> project. <br /> SECTION 3.
