(14) Ensure a Certified Assembly Repair Technician is responsible for all repairs <br /> performed on an assembly. Installing backflow prevention assemblies <br /> within the scope of the plumbing system, shall be in accordance with the <br /> Arkansas Plumbing Code. <br /> (15) Verify only Certified Assembly Testing Technicians perform testing on <br /> backflow prevention assemblies. <br /> Section 2.7 INSPECTION FREQUENCY shall be modified to read as follows: <br /> All such facilities should be inspected by the approval authority on the following schedule: <br /> A. High Hazard - Once per year. <br /> B. Low Hazard - Once every five years. <br /> Section 2.8 CATEGORIES OF POTENTIAL CROSS CONNECTION HAZARDS shall <br /> be modified to read as follows: <br /> All commercial, institutional, industrial establishments, and residential sites having <br /> potential cross connection hazards categorized by the Approving Authority into one of the <br /> three following categories: <br /> A. High Hazard a condition, device, or practice which is conducive to the <br /> introduction of water borne disease organisms, or harmful chemical, physical, or <br /> radioactive substances into a public water system, and which presents an <br /> unreasonable risk to health. <br /> B. Low Hazard a hazard which does not pose an immediate unreasonable risk to <br /> health, which could cause aesthetic problems or have a detrimental effect on the <br /> quality of the public potable water supply. <br /> Section 4.3 DCVA AND PVBA CONTAINMENT shall be modified to read as follows: <br /> An approved DCVA or PVBA may be the minimum backflow prevention required in the <br /> water service line if the owner can document that there are no potential high hazards on <br /> the premises. <br /> 7 <br />
