S'5_5 _ 1 <br /> AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE KEEPING OF GOATS AND/OR SHEEP WITHIN THE CITY <br /> LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIO- <br /> LATIONS THEREOF; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES: <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1: It shall be unlawful for any person to keep, maintain or permit <br /> within any residential area within the corporate limits of the City of Bates- <br /> ville, Arkansas , any goat or sheep except where such goat or sheep are main- <br /> tained on an enclosed pasture containing one-half acre for each animal . <br /> SECTION 2: It shall be the duty of the animal control officer to enforce the <br /> provisions of this ordinance. <br /> SECTION 3: This ordinance shall not repeal or otherwise affect any existing <br /> ordinance prohibiting or regulating docs , swine or other animals now in force <br /> and effect. <br /> SECTION 4: Any person violating this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a <br /> violation and shall be fined in an amount not to exceed $100.00. Each day a <br /> violation of this ordinance is allowed to exist shall constitute a separate <br /> offense. <br /> ® SECTION 5: That if any part or parts of this ordinance should be declared <br /> unconstitutional or otherwise unlawful by any Court of competent jurisdiction, <br /> then that part or parts of this ordinance shall be deemed to have been severed <br /> from this ordinance and the remaining portions thereof shall remain in full <br /> force and effect as if the part or parts of the ordinance so declared uncon- <br /> stitutional or unlawful were never/ a part thereof. <br /> 4" <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED this /4 day of 1985. <br /> APPROVED: <br /> Hon.
