y <br /> r <br /> s ORDINANCE # <br /> AN ORDINANCE NAMING CERTAIN STREETS LOCATED IN THE MELTON ADDITION; <br /> A NEWLY ANNEXED AREA OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND RENAMING JAMES <br /> STREET LOCATED IN BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br /> AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES: <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, <br /> i <br /> ARKANSAS: <br /> I <br /> Section 1 : That a certain street located in the City of Batesville, <br /> Arkansas, and running north and south from Bates Street to <br /> Lawrence Street and designated as James Street shall be and is <br /> hereby renamed and shall hereinafter be known as Searcy Street. <br /> Section 2 : That a certain street located in the Melton Addition, <br /> recently annexed to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, and pre- <br /> viously named Maple Street, is hereby named and shall hereinafter <br /> be known as Leslie Street; that said street is designated <br /> on the attached plat, a copy of which is made a part hereof as <br /> though fully set out herein word for word. <br /> Section 3 : That a certain street located in the Melton Addition, <br /> a newly annexed area to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, and <br /> previously referred to as Dogwood Street, is hereby renamed and <br /> sllall 'hereinafter be known as LeAnn Street; that said street is <br /> 4W designated on the attached plat, a copy of which is made a part <br /> hereof as though fully set out herein word for word. <br /> Section 4 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict <br /> herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 5 : EMERGENCY CLAUSE: That this Ordinance is necessary <br /> for the proper delivery of mail and other vital services <br /> including prompt fire and police protection of the named areas <br /> and it further being necessary for the protection of the public <br /> health, safety and welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> exist and this Ordinance is and shall be in full force and <br /> effect from and after the date of its passage. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this1j , day of Citi , 1986 . <br /> APPROVED: <br /> n.
