40 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE NOT TO PARTICIPATE <br /> IN OR BE SUBJECT TO ACT 600 OF 1987 ADOPTED BY THE 76TH <br /> GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. <br /> WHEREAS, the 76th General Assembly of the State of Arkansas has passed, <br /> and the Governor has signed Act 600 of 1987, and; <br /> WHEREAS, Section 4 of said Act 600 provides that the failure to adopt an <br /> ordinance or resolution indicating whether the City desires to not be covered <br /> by the provisions of that act, shall be subject to the provisions of that act, <br /> and; <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Batesville desires not to be subject to the pro- <br /> visions of Act 600., <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Batesville desires not to <br /> be subject to the provisions of Act 600 of 1987 and formally states it' s <br /> intentions not to be covered by the provisions of that act. <br /> PASSED this 2–LI 'lov— day of November, 1987. <br /> (2 <br /> m hirrell , Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> w <br /> Larry Will ams, City Clerk <br /> C <br />
