I <br /> RESOLUTION # 3 - I <br /> WHEREAS, the Batesville High School Lady Pioneers Basketball Team is Arkansas ' <br /> best high school basketball team having won thirty (30) ball games during the <br /> 1982-1983 season and capturing the overall State Tournament Championship, and; <br /> WHEREAS, said championship is due to the team's coaching, leadership, ability, <br /> cooperation, discipline, talent and hard work, and; <br /> i <br /> WHEREAS, the Batesville Lady Pioneers ' spirit and sportsmanship are an inspi- <br /> ration to all and the pride of our community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, <br /> ARKANSAS: <br /> Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, recog- <br /> nizes the Batesville Lady Pioneers for their contributions which are the pride <br /> of the community. <br /> Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, further <br /> recognizes the Batesville Lady Pioneers as winners in every way and true ex- <br /> amples that a Pioneer never quits. <br /> Section 3: That the first day of April , 1983, is hereby set aside, declared <br /> and proclaimed to be Lady Pioneer day in the City of Batesville, Arkansas. <br /> Section 4: Be it further resolved, that this resolution be spread upon the <br /> records of the City and a copy thereof be delivered to each member of the <br /> 1982-1983 Batesville High School Lady Pioneer Basketball Team - Arkansas ' <br /> Number One Basketball Team <br /> ADOPTED this day of /r ( 1983. <br /> �f APPROVED: <br /> i Ll <br /> � <br /> I S O RRELL, MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> LARRY WILL MS, CITY CLERK <br /> 1 <br /> I � <br /> I <br />
