(W RESOLUTION # J_ <br /> WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers is authorized under Section 14 of the Flood <br /> Control Act of 1948, as amended, to investigate White River bank erosion prob- <br /> lems and to recommend construction and necessary appurtenances thereto; and <br /> WHEREAS, said construction is subject to assumption by the city of Bates- <br /> ville of certain obligations of local cooperation and other commitments more <br /> particularly set forth in the agreement and made a part hereof as fully as if <br /> set forth herein in detail , and <br /> WHEREAS, the city of Batesville is able legally, financially, and other- <br /> wise to undertake and fulfill said obligations of local cooperation and other <br /> commitments. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city of Batesville furnish assur- <br /> ances of local cooperation and other commitments more particularly set forth in <br /> the sample agreement; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor, city of Batesville, Arkansas, is <br /> hereby authorized in conformance with this Resolution to: <br /> a. Execute on behalf of the city of Batesville assurances of local coop- <br /> eration and other commitments set forth in the agreement; and <br /> b.
