<br /> r$ WHEREAS, residents of a certain portion of the Eastwood
<br /> ki
<br /> Estates Addition to the City of Batesville, Arkansas have
<br /> requested that the City of Batesville cause studies to be made
<br /> iy
<br /> 9 of the needs for street improvements , including but not limited
<br /> to, grading, paving, curbing, guttering, drainage and storm
<br /> sewers in said area, and that the City cause studies to be made
<br /> of the approximate cost of such improvements, and the
<br /> approximate amount which would need to be assessed against each
<br /> parcel of property in said area to pay for the proposed improve-
<br /> ment and,
<br /> WHEREAS , the Batesville City Council, finds that there is
<br /> a need for such studies to be made and pursuant to Ark. Stat.
<br /> Ann. 9 20-1501 , et. seq. , upon the request of the residents
<br /> of the designated area, do hereby resolve the following:
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br /> CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS AS FOLLOWS:
<br /> Section 1 : That the City Council hereby authorizes certain studies
<br /> to be made of the need for street improvements , including grading,x
<br /> paving, curbing, guttering, and drainange and storm sewers in
<br /> an area encompassing lots 14 , 15, 16 , 18 , 19 , 20 , 21 , 22 , 23 ,
<br /> 27 , 28 , 29 , 34 , 35 , 36 , 37 , 38 , 45, 46 , 47 , and 48 of the
<br /> Eastwood Estates Addition to the City of Batesville, Arkansas;
<br /> and the City Council further directs that studies be made of
<br /> the approximate cost of such improvements and the approximate
<br /> amount which would need to be assessed against each parcel of
<br /> property to pay for the cost of the proposed improvements; all
<br /> pursuant to Ark. Stat. Ann. ss 20-1501 et. seq. .
<br /> Section 2: Upon the completion of the study, the persons making
<br /> the study shall report back to the City Council so that the
<br /> determinations and findings can be made upon the need and
<br /> desireability of entering into a street improvement program
<br /> through an improvement district.
