Robert <br /> Lemon and William T. Evans, authorized representatives, with <br /> its principal place of business at 633 Lawrence Street, Bates- <br /> ville, Arkansas, hereinafter referred to as "LESSEE" and The <br /> City of Batesville, "City" , represented by Mayor Jim Shirrell, <br /> I <br /> enters into this agreement for the purpose of acknowledging ! <br /> that the rental of the property hereinafter described is in the <br /> best interest of The City of Batesville with the rental proceeds <br /> to be used for public purposes and said agreement is not in <br /> i <br /> violation of covenants contained in any deeds from The City of <br /> Batesville to the Batesville Jaycees, WITNESSETH: <br /> I <br /> For and in consideration of the covenants and arfreements <br /> hereinafter contained, Lessor with City' s consent does hereby <br /> let, lease, and demise unto Lessee and Lessee does hereby lease j <br /> I <br /> from Lessor, the multi-purpose steel and concrete building con- <br /> taining approximately 9,600 square feet ( 801x1201 ) and access <br /> and easements thereto located on the following described propertl : <br /> f <br /> Beginning at the Northwest corner of Block 11 , <br /> Maxfield's second Southern Addition to the <br /> City of Batesville, Arkansas, and run South <br /> 250 feet to a point South right of way line of <br /> Missouri Pacific Railway Company; <br /> thence in Easterly direction 460 feet to the <br /> Southwest corner of the land purchased by <br /> Batesville Compress Company froiu Mt. Olive <br /> Stove Company; I <br /> thence in Southerly direction parallel to River <br /> Street 947 feet to iron stake for point of <br /> beginning of the tract of land herein conveyed ; j <br /> thence South 66 degrees East 300 feet to an <br /> iron stake for corner; <br /> thence in Southerly direction 292 feet to iron <br /> stake on North Bank of White River, which is <br /> 2 feet East from 18 inch Hackberry; <br /> thence in Northwesterly direction with the meanders <br /> of White River 370 feet to iron stake which is <br /> the intersection with the li--e(extended) be- <br /> tween land now owned by Roy IN .
