RESOLUTION # A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH B & F ENGINEERING, INC. OF HOT SPRINGS, ARKANSAS, SAID CONTRACT TO PROVIDE FOR COMPLETE ENGINEERING SERVICES REGARDING PROPOSED SOLID WASTE INCINERATOR. WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has been ordered by the Independence County Arkansas Chancery Court to close its landfill and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Batesville has studied the alternatives available to it i,n light of said Chancery Court order and has determined that a solid waste incinerator is the most practical and most feasible alternative available to the City of Batesville at this time, and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Batesville have committed the City of Batesville to the use and purchase of a solid waste incinerator, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain engineering services to efficiently operate a solid waste incinerator, and WHEREAS, B & F Engineering, Inc. of Hot Springs, Arkansas have offered their services and have assured and convinced the City Council of the City of Batesville that they have the necessary professional expertise to perform the kind of services that are required, and WHEREAS, a copy of the contract has been presented to and studied by the City Council of Batesville, Arkansas and said contract meets with the specifications and requirements of the City Council and the City Council deems B & F Engineering, Inc. to be well suited, trained, knowledgable and experienced to perform this contract in the manner that it should be per- formed. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas hereby accepts B & F Engineering, Inc. of Hot Springs , Arkansas as the engineering firm to provide complete engineering services for the proposed �w solid waste incineration plant with heat recovery for the City of Batesville, SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, furthermore accepts the contract as presented to it by the B & F Engineering, Inc. , a copy of which shall be filed with the City Clerk of Batesville, Arkansas.
