�W <br /> TO: THE HONORABLE MAYORAND <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS <br /> PETITION TO ABANDON STREET <br /> Comes Troy Gray, Petitioner herein, by his attorney, Hubert <br /> J. Meachum, and prays that the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> of Batesville, Arkansas, to abandon the property dedicated and <br /> known as part of Fifteenth (15) Street from the intersection of <br /> Norma and 15th Streets South to the Missouri-Pacific Railroad <br /> Company Spur joining Chaney Drive, being 320 feet long and 50 feet <br /> �W wide, located in the City of Batesville,Arkansas. <br /> The Petitioner further states: <br /> 1. That the Petitioner is the owner of all property adjoin- <br /> and abutting thereto, except the property owned by the Missouri- <br /> Pacific Railroad Company next to Chaney Drive. <br /> 2. That 15th Street from Gray's Avenue South toward Chaney <br /> Drive was dedicated to the City in the 1930's and has never been <br /> opened to the public. <br /> 3. There has been no request for or need by the general <br /> public for the Street to be opened, nor would it serve any use- <br /> ful porpose to open it at this time. <br /> 4. That a building has been constructed and occupied on the <br /> southern part of said Street. <br /> �W THEREFORE, Petitioner respectfully request that the City <br /> Council by resolution direct the City Clerk to give noticeof <br /> hearing to determine whether such property should be abandoned by <br /> the City as required and set out in Ark. -Stat : 19-3814. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Troy Gray PETITIONER <br /> By <br /> His Attorney.' <br />
