RESOLUTION # '741 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND IN SUPPORT OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE BATESVILLE AIRPORT COMMISSION AND THE SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE, UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND COMMITTING THE CITY OF BATESVILLE TO FURNISH CERTAIN LIKE KIND SERVICES. WHEREAS, the Batesville Airport Commission and the Soil Conservation Service, United States Department of Agriculture have entered into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and marked "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof as though fully set out herein word for word, regarding Critical Area Treatment RC & D Measure Plan, and WHEREAS, the objectives of said agreement are to reduce unsafe con- ditions by blowing dust during runway approaches, to reduce pollution from sediment translocation, and to improve the visual quality of the area by adequately treating unvegetated areas, and WHEREAS, said objectives are in the best interest of the City of Batesville, its citizens and its airport and, WHEREAS, the City Council has been assured that all the funds to be furnished by the City will be in the form of like-kind service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, as follows: 1. That the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas ap- proves and supports the Batesville Airport Commission and the Soil Conservation Service, United States Department of Agriculture in the Critical Area Treatment RC&D Measure Plan adopted by those organizations. 2. That the City Council will co-sponsor the plan along with the Batesville Airport Commission. 3. That the City of Batesville agrees to furnish to the project certain like-kind services including the furnishing of top soil from water treatment facility project. Adopted this��_day of �iLc�, 1980.
