RES 0LTJT ION - 11hereas, at a public hearing held on this date pursuant to and under the provisions of Public Lair 31, 81st Congress (let Session) of the United States of America, said Act being cited as the "Hous- ing: and Rent Act of 1949", and of which hearing, and the date and hour and place thereof, more than 10 days notice was given by the due and proper publication in the Batesville Guard, a newspaper pub- lished and having a bona fide circulation in the City of Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, it was found and detemined by the City Council of Batesville, Arkansas, same being the governing body of said City, "that there no longer exists such a shortage in rental housing acoomodations as to require rent control in such City"j therefore, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, in session duly and lowfully assembled and convened in the City Hall of said City on May 30th, 1949, at 7s30 otolook p.mo as follows$ (1)"That there no longer exists such a shortage in rental hous. Ing accomodations as to require rent control in said City", and that as relates to such City some should be decontrolled; (2) That pursuant to the provisions of said Act, as aforesaid, a duly certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the Governor of the State of Arkansas for his attention and such action as say be deemed proper; and, hh �� (3) That upon the approval�olptgghis Council by said Governor, same, as so certified and approved, be transmitted to the Federal Housing Expediter in Washington# D.
