A 6 <br /> BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS <br /> RESOLUTION NO. (p J <br /> WHEREAS, N.U. Carpenter has submitted his request for retire- <br /> ment from the office of city clerk of Batesville, Arkansas, <br /> and; <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Carpenter has served faithfully and diligently <br /> as clerk during his tenure; <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, <br /> ARKANSAS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That the city council publicly by this resolution <br /> expresses its deep appreciation for the tireless service N.U. <br /> Carpenter has rendered the city of Batesville. <br /> 2. That the resignation of N.U. Carpenter is accepted <br /> but only regret. <br /> 3.
