RESOLUTION NO . CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS WHEREAS, a majority of owners of the land hereafter described, both in number and in acreage, have petitioned the County Court of Independence County, Arkansas, for the annexation of said land to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, the said land being described as follows : A part of Sections 11, 13 , 14 and 15, Township 13 North, Range 6 West, contained within the following boundary description, to--wit : Beginning at the point in Section 15 where the South R/W line of State Highway #69, as presently located, would be intersected by the East R/W line of an extension of 30th Street , as presently located; thence Northerly and with East side of 30th Street to the North line of SE 1/4 SE 1/4 of said Section 15; thence East and with said North line of SE 1/4 SE 1/4 to a point that is 216 feet West of East line thereof; thence North and parallel to East line of Section 15for 800 feet to a point ; thence East for 216 feet to the East line of Section 15; thence North with East line of Section 15 and the East line of Section 10 to the South R/W line of Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence South- easterly and with said South R/W of Railroad to the East line of NW 1/4 in Section 13 of said Township and Range; thence South with East line of NW 1/4 and SW 1/4 in Section 13 to the South line of said Section 13; thence run North 74 degrees 11 minutes 49 seconds West 284 . 23 feet ; thence run North 68 degrees 19 minutes 40 seconds West 393 . 12 feet ; thence run South 89 degrees 12 minutes 40 seconds West 190 . 4 feet ; thence run North 87 degrees 21 minutes West 1109 . 6 feet ; thence run North 78 degrees 10 minutes 20 seconds West 134 . 2 feet to a point on the Easterly line of Wolford ' s Quail Valley Subdivision; thence with the South line of Quail Valley Subdivision as follows : North 84 degrees 40 minutes West 675 feet ; thence South 89 degrees 42 minutes West 373 feet; South 84 degrees 31 minutes West 348 feet to the East R/W line of Mountain Gap Road; thence Northerly and with East R/W line of Mountain Gap Road to the North line of S 1/2 of Section 14 in said Township and Range; thence West and with North line of S 1/2 of Section 14 to the intersection of East R/W line of State Highway #69; thence Southwesterly and with East and South R/W line of State Highway #69 to the point of beginning. and, WHEREAS, after proper notice being published in accordance with the laws of the State of Arkansas , a hearing was held by said Court on the 2nd day of December, 1976, and at said hearing the petition for annexation was granted and an order of annexation was entered on the 2nd day of December, 1976, subject to confirmation by the County Court and acceptance by the City
