MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> MAY 26, 1998 <br /> The Batesville City Council met for its regular meeting on May 26, at 5:30 P.M. <br /> at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Carpenter gave the invocation. Upon roll call, all the council <br /> answered present, except Councilmember Cargill who was absent. The Deputy City <br /> Clerk and the City Attorney were also present. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the minutes from the last meeting and <br /> Councilmember Gaither seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda and <br /> Councilmember Insell seconded. All voted for. <br /> CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br /> PROFESSIONAL DENTAL TECHNOLOGIES TO ISSUE BONDS FOR THE <br /> PURPOSE OF ASSISTING IN THE FINANCING OF AN INDUSTRIAL FACILITY TO <br /> BE LOCATED NEAR THE CITY OF BATESVILLE <br /> Mayor Biard read a resolution that would enter the City of Batesville and <br /> Professional Dental Technologies into an agreement for the purpose of issuing bonds <br /> for the assisting in the financing of new construction of an integrated <br /> office/manufacturing/warehousing operation consisting of around 150,000 square feet <br /> of floor space. This new construction would be located in the new Industrial Park, <br /> which is located about 3 miles north of Batesville on Hwy. 167. The estimated cost of <br /> the new construction would be around $7 million. Mr. Derrick Davidson of Batesville, <br /> general counsel for Pro-Dentec, and Mr. Gordon Wilbourn with Kutak Rock Bond <br /> Counsel, told the council the company hopes to receive a grant to extend the City's <br />
