MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> DECEMBER 8, 1998 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on December 8, at 5:30 <br /> P.M. at the Batesville Municipal Building. Mayor Biard presided over the <br /> meeting. Councilmember Ford gave the invocation. Upon roll call, all the council <br /> answered present except Councilmember Gaither. Also present were the City <br /> Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Cargill moved to approve the minutes from the last <br /> meeting. Councilmember Pectol seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda and <br /> Councilmember Insell seconded. All voted for. <br /> PRESENTATION TO BEVERLY FINCH WITH THE INDEPENDENCE COUNTY <br /> HUMANE SOCIETY <br /> Mayor Biard presented a plaque to Ms. Beverly Finch for her many hours <br /> of dedicated service to animal care in Batesville and Independence County. <br /> PRESENTATION TO BRETT DINGLER WITH PEPSI <br /> Mayor Biard presented Mr. Brett Dingler with a plaque for his outstanding <br /> contribution to athletics for the City of Batesville. <br /> PRESENTATION TO CITY ATTORNEY ERIC HANCE <br /> Mayor Biard presented Eric Hance with a plaque for his 12 years of <br /> outstanding service as City Attorney. Mr. Hance did not run for re-election. <br /> ATTORNEY GARY VINSON REPRESENTING THE LANDERS THEATRE <br /> Mr. Gary Vinson addressed the City Council regarding saving the Landers <br /> Theatre building.
