MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> OCTOBER 26, 1999 <br /> The Batesville City Council met for its regular meeting on October 26, at 5:30 P.M. at <br /> the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. Councilmember Pectol <br /> gave the invocation. Upon roll call, all the council answered present. Also present were the <br /> City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. <br /> Councilmember Cargill seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda and Councilmember <br /> Pectol seconded. All voted for. <br /> PRESENTATION TO WAL-MART <br /> Animal Control Officer Bill Burrus presented Wal-Mart with a plaque of appreciation for <br /> pet food donations. Mr. Burrus said Wal-Mart has donated thousands of pounds of pet food <br /> to the City and what the City did not use he gave to the County Humane Society. <br /> PRESENTATION BY MAIN STREET BATESVILLE <br /> Mr. Bob Carius and Ms. Selina Anderson with Main Street Batesville gave a <br /> presentation to the City Council. Mr. Carius read the Mission Statement of the Main Street <br /> Batesville program and gave the goals and perspective for the next twelve months. Funds for <br /> the Main Street Batesville will be considered in the upcoming budget process. <br /> DISCUSSION OF INTERLOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGREEMENT <br /> Mayor Biard asked the council not to make a rushed decision regarding the Interlocal <br /> Law Enforcement Agreement. The Mayor said he will make a presentation to the council and <br /> present an overall picture for what he perceives the needs are for our city. Mayor Biard said <br /> he would make his presentation on or before the first council meeting in January 2000. The <br /> Mayor opened the meeting to the public for input.
