MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> JULY 25, 2000 <br /> The Batesville City Council met for its regular meeting on July 25, at 5:30 <br /> P.M. at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Pectol gave the invocation. Upon roll call, all the council <br /> answered present. Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting. Councilmember Gaither seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda as amended <br /> and Councilmember Insell seconded. All voted for. <br /> CODE ENFORCEMENT REPORT <br /> Code Enforcement Officer Chad McClure gave the council a report on <br /> certain properties in the City. Mr. Gary Ennis addressed the council regarding <br /> the old Dairy Queen property. The owners recently listed the property with Ennis <br /> Reality. Mr. Ennis said he currently has a deal in the works, however, the deal <br /> will not necessarily develop. Mr. Ennis said they had the property cleaned up <br /> last week which greatly improved the looks. The council took no action in order <br /> to give Mr. Ennis time to sell the property. <br /> Mayor Biard read a letter from Mr. Bob Wilroy, regarding the property on <br /> Lawrence Street that was discussed at the last meeting. Mr. Wilroy said he was <br /> getting out of the sign business and would have the property cleaned up within <br /> the next 90 days. The council asked the Mayor to respond to Mr. Wilroy in <br /> writing and accept his 90 day time frame for cleaning up the property. <br />
