MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> MARCH 28, 2000 <br /> The Batesville City Council met for its regular meeting on March 28, at <br /> 5:30 P.M. at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Ford gave the invocation. Upon roll call, all the council <br /> answered present. Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting. Councilmember Gaither seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Cargill moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Ford seconded and all voted for. <br /> CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE REGULATING SIGNS WITHIN THE CITY OF <br /> BATESVILLE <br /> Councilmember Bone introduced an ordinance that would amend the <br /> zoning code in regard to the location, size, and type of signs that are to be <br /> permitted and placed within a Residential 1, Residential 2, Commercial 1, <br /> Commercial 2, Commercial 3, Industrial 1 and Industrial 2 zoning districts within <br /> the City of Batesville. Mayor Biard read the ordinance for the first reading. <br /> Councilmember Bone moved to suspend the rules and place the ordinance on <br /> the second reading. Councilmember Pectol seconded and the roll call count was <br /> 6 for and 2 (Carpenter and Insell) against. The Mayor read the ordinance for the <br /> second reading and Councilmember Cargill moved to table the ordinance and <br /> place it on the agenda for the first meeting in April. Councilmember Ford <br /> seconded and the roll call count was 6 for and 2 (Pectol and Bone) against. <br />
