MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> APRIL 25, 2000 <br /> The Batesville City Council met for its regular meeting on April 25, at 5:30 <br /> P.M. at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Pectol gave the invocation. Upon roll call, all the council <br /> answered present except Councilmembers Gaither and Carpenter. Also present <br /> were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Cargill moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting. Councilmember Pectol seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Cargill moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Pectol seconded and all voted for. <br /> DECISION ON BATESVILLE RIVERWALK <br /> The council discussed the possibility of a riverwalk at Riverside Park. The <br /> Mayor said the proposed riverwalk improvement would include a 4 foot walking <br /> track and a 7 foot bike path that would run from riverside park, up river to the <br /> White River Stadium. The path will be approximately 1 mile long. Lighting, park <br /> benches, and landscaping will line the paths. The council listened to comments <br /> from the audience, all of whom asked the council to accept the grant monies and <br /> do the riverwalk improvement. <br /> CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID ENHANCEMENT <br /> MONIES <br /> Mayor Biard read a resolution to utilize federal-aid enhancement monies <br /> to build a riverwalk at Riverside Park. Councilmember Cargill moved to adopt the <br />
