council and Quorum Court to the next Interlocal Meeting scheduled for <br /> September 19 at 4:00 P.M. Mayor Biard said he would let the council know the <br /> location of the meeting. <br /> CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO RE-ZONE AREA FROM <br /> R-2 TO HR-1 (HISTORICAL DISTRICT) <br /> Mr. Tim Kuykendall gave a slide presentation showing houses in the <br /> proposed area to be re-zoned. The area is located on Broad and Bates Streets <br /> between River and Slater Streets. Mayor Biard read an ordinance that would re- <br /> zone certain area from R-2 to HR-1 (Historical District). Councilmember Cargill <br /> moved to suspend the rules and place the ordinance on the second reading. <br /> Councilmember Bone seconded and the roll call count was 8 for and 0 against. <br /> The Mayor read the ordinance for the second reading and Councilmember Pectol <br /> move to further suspend the rules and place the ordinance on the third reading. <br /> Councilmember Ford seconded and the roll call count is 8 for and 0 against. The <br /> Mayor read the ordinance for the third and final reading and Councilmember <br /> Bone moved to adopt the ordinance. Councilmember Cargill seconded and the <br /> roll call count was 8 for and 0 against. The ordinance was given #2000-8-1. <br /> Councilmember Carpenter moved to adopt the emergency clause and <br /> Councilmember Bone seconded. The roll call count was 7 for and 1 (Mitchum) <br /> voting against. <br /> CODE ENFORCEMENT REPORTS <br /> Mr. Chad McClure reminded the council of the public hearing scheduled <br /> for the next meeting on the property located at 1331 E.
