Batesville School Superintendent Ted Hall, School Resource Officer Alan <br /> Cockrill, and Transportation Superintendent Richard O'Neil addressed the council <br /> requesting two yield signs for Jennings Lane that runs next to the school property. Mayor <br /> Biard showed a video to the council of the portion of Jennings that connects to the school <br /> property. He asked the council to approve additional paving to make room for turn lanes <br /> and additional striping along with the two yield signs. Officer Cockrill showed a drawing <br /> that explained the new traffic flow for the Jr. High and High School. He expressed how <br /> the additional paving, striping and yield signs will improve the traffic flow in the <br /> mornings and afternoons at the schools. Councilmember Watkins moved to approve the <br /> additional paving, striping and yield signs for Jennings Lane and Councilmember Ford <br /> seconded. All voted for. <br /> DETERMINATION BY COUNCIL TO REMOVE A HOUSE LOCATED AT 2455 <br /> NEELEY STREET <br /> Code Enforcement Officer Chad McClure showed the council pictures of the <br /> property located at 2455 Neeley Street. The property is owned by David W. Pinkston. <br /> Mr. Pinkston is currently in the military. The council asked the City Attorney to make <br /> sure there are no exemptions because Mr. Pinkston is stationed out of state in the <br /> military. Councilmember Watkins moved to table any further action until an opinion is <br /> given by the City Attorney. Councilmember Ford seconded and all voted for. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENTS <br /> The council was given a copy of the July 31, 2001 financial statements. <br />
