Councilmember Ford <br /> moved to suspend the rules and place the ordinance on the second reading. <br /> Councilmember Cargill seconded and the roll call count was 7 for and 1 (Bone) against. <br /> The Mayor read the ordinance for the second reading and Councilmember Ford moved to <br /> further suspend the rules and place the ordinance on the final reading. Councilmember <br /> Cargill seconded and the roll call count was 7 for and 1 (Bone) against. The Mayor read <br /> the ordinance for the third reading and Councilmember Ford moved to adopt the <br /> ordinance. Councilmember Pectol seconded and the roll call count was 7 for and 1 <br /> (Bone) against. The ordinance was given 42001-12-2. <br /> PRESENTATION FROM THE BATESVILLE ARTS COUNCIL <br /> Mr. Jim Tucker, spokesman for the Batesville Arts Council gave the council a <br /> presentation of a proposed Community Service Center to be located at the site of the old <br /> Marvin Hotel which recently burned. Mr. Tucker explained that this was only the <br /> beginning of a long process but hoped the council would allow a little time for the clean <br /> up of the debris from the fire. The council asked how much time would be needed. Mr. <br /> Tucker said he did not know but would contact the Mayor tomorrow and hopefully have <br /> a time line for him. The council granted the time but asked for a report at the next <br /> meeting which will be January 8, 2002. <br />
