Chief Cockrill said accidents within the city are down for the month of <br /> October. Councilmember Bryant asked if the accidents are more prevalent in a <br /> particular area of the city. Chief Cockrill said the accidents are random, with no <br /> particular area of reason to fault. <br /> C) ENGINEER'S REPORT <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson addressed the council for his monthly report. Mr. <br /> Johnson said everything is "business as usual". Crews have been working <br /> around Pfeiffer in search of a water leak. <br /> D) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE INDEPENDENCE COUNTY <br /> MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN <br /> Councilmember Bryant introduced a resolution to adopt the Independence <br /> County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan with intent to participate and to <br /> work toward becoming a safer community. Mr. Meitzen read the resolution in full. <br /> After a discussion, Councilmember Bryant moved to adopt the resolution. <br /> Councilmember Henley seconded and the electronic roll call count was 8 for and <br /> 0 against. The resolution was given #2016-11-01-R. <br /> E) EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to go into executive session. Councilmember <br /> Henley seconded and all voted for. <br />
