THIRD READING OF ORDINANCE CONCERNING PETITION BY PRO-DENTEC TO ANNEX <br /> PROPERTY AT 500 WHITE DRIVE <br /> Mayor Biard read the ordinance of the petition by Pro-Dentec to annex property at 500 White Drive for the <br /> third reading. Councilmember Watkins moved to adopt the ordinance. Councilmember Terrell seconded. The <br /> roll call was 8 for and 0 against. The ordinance was given 42002-6-1. Councilmember Carpenter moved to <br /> adopt the emergency clause. Councilmember Cargill seconded and all voted for. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING CONDEMNATION OF PROPERTY AT 9TH & OAK STREETS <br /> The Mayor opened the floor for a public hearing for condemnation of property at 9Th & Oak Streets. Chad <br /> McClure Code Enforcement Officer showed the council a video of the property which is owned by Mr. Larry <br /> Little. The council questioned Mr. McClure about the progress that had been made at the property. Mr. McClure <br /> told the council that very little work had been done. Mr. Little was present and told the council that he had been <br /> working on the house but it would take more time to bring up to code. The Mayor asked Mr. Little how much <br /> more time he would need and he said that maybe two more months. The public hearing was closed. <br /> RESOLUTION CONDEMNING THE STRUCTURE AT 9TH & OAK STREETS <br /> Councilmember Cargill introduced a resolution condemning the structure at 9th & Oak Streets owned by Mr. <br /> Larry Little. Mayor Biard read the resolution and Councilmember Cargill moved to adopt the resolution. <br /> Councilmember Gaither seconded and all voted for. The resolution was given 42002-6-2-R. Mr. Little was told <br /> that he would only have 30 days to bring the structure up to code or it would be torn down at the his expense or a <br /> lien would be placed on the property if the City had to have it removed. <br /> CODE ENFORCEMENT UPDATES OF UNSIGHTLY PROPERTY -1680 PICKENS AND 2598 CASE <br /> Chad McClure updated the council on two different properties that he has been working on. The first is <br /> located at 1680 Pickens owned by Mr. Dickey Sisk. Mr. McClure showed the council video of the property and <br /> told them that he had been in contact with the property owner. Councilmember Watkins moved to begin <br /> condemnation proceedings. Councilmember Carpenter seconded and all voted for. The second property is <br />
