MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> JULY 23, 2002 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on July 23, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. Councilmember Ford <br /> gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following Councilmembers answered present: <br /> Jim Cargill, R.L. Carpenter, Robert Ford, Gerald Gaither, Jim Mitchum, Paula Terrell <br /> and Jim Watkins. Councilmember Pectol was absent. Also present were the City Clerk <br /> Denise Johnston and the City Attorney Scott Stalker. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the minutes from the last meeting. <br /> Councilmember Watkins seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Cargill moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember <br /> Ford seconded and all voted for. <br /> UTILITIES REQUEST FOR OUTSIDE CITY WATER AND SEWER <br /> CONNECTIONS <br /> Water Utility Manager Larry Tharnish and Mr. Jim Whitson addressed the council <br /> with requests to connect water and sewer outside the city limits. One request is for a <br /> water connection west of Davis Lane for Dusty Kelley. Mr. Kelley said he was going to <br /> petition the City to be annexed into the City. Councilmember Watkins moved to approve <br /> the request and Councilmember Terrell seconded. All voted for. The second request is <br /> for a sewer connection for Ms. Janette Meyer off Spring Valley Drive. The connection <br /> will run off the line that was run to the Industrial Park. Councilmember Watkins moved <br /> to approve the connection and Councilmember Cargill seconded. All voted for. <br />
