(16) The City of Batesville fixes and <br />establishes the following general equations <br />to be used in computing and allocating <br />Industrial Cost Recovery charges that shall <br />be paid by all qualifying users of the <br />Batesville Wastewater System as previously <br />defined, said charges becoming effective fiscal <br />,year beginning October 1, 1980, with the total <br />charge being the summation of the charges for <br />flow, B.O.D., and suspended solids as follows: <br />ICR charges to flow = $2,519,820/30 ,yrs/12/132,620 <br />1000 gals/month = $0.0528/1000 gals/month <br />ICR charges to B.O.D. = $1,353,660/30 ,yrs/12/ <br />331,540 lbs/month = $0.0113/lb /month <br />ICR charges to Suspended Solids = $315,520/30 <br />,yrs/12/331,540 lbs/month = $0.00264/lb /month <br />These charges were derived from the totals <br />of Table 2 of Supplement No. 1 attached to this <br />Ordinance. <br />(17) Definitions: <br />B.O.D. - The lettere "BOD" (denoting biochemical <br />oxygen demand) shall mean the quantity of oxygen <br />utilized in the biochemical oxidation of organic <br />matter under standard laboratory procedure in <br />five (5) days at 200C, expressed in milligrams <br />per liter. The laboratory determination shall <br />be made in accordance with the procedures set <br />forth in "Standard Methods". <br />SUSPENDED SOLIDS - The words "suspended solids" <br />or the abbreviation "SS" shall mean solids that <br />either .float on the surface of, or are in <br />suspension in, water, sewage, or other liquids <br />and which are removableby laboratory filtering. <br />- 7 - <br />
