NOTICE <br />The public is hereby given notice that the City Council of <br />the City of Batesville, Arkansas will on the � Z42 ✓ day <br />-o <br />of ta�� / 1982 consider for adoption a code entitled <br />"The City of Batesville, Arkansas Flood Hazard Prevention Code". <br />Said code is designed to promote the public health, safety and <br />general welfare and to minimize public and private losses due to <br />flood conditions in specific areas by provisions regulating use <br />of property in flood plains, requiring uses vunerable to floods <br />to be protected against flood damage at the time of intial <br />k <br />construction, controlling the alteration of natural flood plains,? <br />stream channels, and natural protective barriers, controlling the! <br />fill, rating, dredging, and other development in flood plains and; <br />preventing and regulating construction of flood barriers which <br />will unnaturally divert flood waters or may increase flood hazard' <br />to other lands. <br />Copies of said code and maps of said flood plains are open <br />to public examination from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the office <br />of the City Clerk, <br />from <br />ATTEST: <br />170 South 4th Street, Batesville, Arkansas <br />day of / <f /j' 1982, to <br />-ter i <br />day of 1982. <br />f <br />y <br />k t. <br />M SHIRRELL, MAYOR <br />LARRY WILLIAMS, CITY CLERK <br />(SEAL) <br />
