State Highway No. 69, thence in a Northwesterly direction <br />along South and West side of said Highway to intersection <br />of line dividing the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest <br />Quarter, of said Section 15, thence South on said line <br />800 links (528 ft.) to place of beginning, containing <br />two and one-half (_2 1/2) acres, more or less. <br />A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast <br />Quarter of Section 15, Township 13 North, Range 6 West, <br />described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning <br />at the Northwest corner of said Southwest Quarter of <br />the Southeast Quarter, thence South 604 links (398.64 ft.) <br />to the Southwest corner of a 4 -acre tract deeded to <br />W. H. Handford, June 6, 1945 by Mrs. Myrtle McCormack <br />as shown in Deed Record Y-5, page 580 for the beginning <br />point of this conveyance, thence in a Southeasterly <br />direction along and adjacent to the South boundary line <br />of said 4 -acre tract 418 links (275.88 ft.) to a point, <br />thence South 26 1/2 degrees West 410 links (270.6 ft.) <br />thence North 75 3/4 degrees West 157 links (103.62 ft.) <br />more or less, to a point o n quarter section line 300 <br />links (198 ft.) South of the beginning point of this <br />conveyance; thence north on Quarter Section line 300 <br />links (198 ft.) to the beginning point of this conveyance, <br />containing in said tract 1 1/8 acres, more or less, <br />and reserving and excepting for ourselves (the Brown) <br />a 15 foot strip off the entire West side of the above <br />described tract, leaving in the above conveyance to <br />said grantee herein (W. H. Handford) 1 acre, more or <br />less. <br />2. That attached hereto as Exhibit 11A" and made a part <br />hereof by reference thereto is a plat of the above-described lands, <br />the annexation of which to the City of Batesville, Arkansas is <br />hereby accepted. <br />3. It has been determined that the proper zoning contro <br />of the lands of the City of Batesville is necessary for the <br />preservation of the public peace, health and safety and that the <br />acceptance of this annexation should be immediately effected in <br />order that such zoning control may be exercised.
