EXCERPTS FROM MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE <br />BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS CITY COUNCIL HELD <br />The City Council of the City of Batesville <br />Arkansas met in regular session at its regular meeting g place in <br />Batesville <br />, Arkansas at 7:00 o'clock P_.m., on the <br />9th day of !September 19 69 . The following were present: <br />Mayor R. W. Sturch <br />C ity Clerk Floy T . Row <br />and Aldermen <br />Earl Tripp Noel Bone Glenn Shelton <br />Dean Lewallen A. J. Beckman Boyce Nash <br />Bobby Leonard Charles Runyan <br />Absent: None <br />The Mayor stated that consideration should be given to an <br />ordinance authorizing the issuance of General Obligation -Airport _ Improvement <br />Bonds of the City <br />This was a matter with which the Council was familiar and after a discussion, <br />Alderman Noel Bone introduced an ordinance entitled: <br />i <br />and the City <br />M <br />"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DEVELOPING AND <br />IMPROVING OF THE MUNICIPAL FLYING FIELD (AIRPORT) <br />SERVING THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS; AUTHORIZ- <br />ING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION AIRPORT <br />IMPROVEMENT BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING <br />A PORTION OF THE COST TO THE CITY OF ACCOMPLISH- <br />ING THE IMPROVEMENTS; LEVYING A TAX SUFFICIENT TO <br />PAY THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON THE BONDS; <br />PRESCRIBING OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO; AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY" <br />lerk read the ordinance in full. <br />
